Corporate Structure: Europe Intermodal is one of the first Turkish operators who get involved in the intermodal road-rail transport sector. German Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co KG and Kombiverkehr Intermodal Services AG,two leading intermodal rail-road transport operators’ company in Turkey. Headquartered in Istanbul, the company was founded in October 2007. Both shareholders are are long-standing members of UIRR (Union Internationale des sociétés de transport combiné Rail-Route), the European umbrella association for CT operators. They have expertise in rail freight traffic to and from southeastern Europe. Each holds 50 per cent of the shares. Our services from 2007 as rai l+ road combined transport to / from Halkalı terminal has been diverted as rail + roro combination since 2013. Today our services continue from Pendik, Haydarpaşa, Mersin and Çeşme Ports to Europe via Trieste with our own shuttle trains. We do accept only huckaback trailers and all sizes and types of containers on our trains. The managing director is Pulat Erginbas, who also has responsibility for sales and marketing.
Company Objectives: The new company has set itself the goal of offering services in intermodal rail-road traffic between western and southeastern Europe for transport companies and developing these services in the long term. Towards all the clients, Europe Intermodal acts always neutral. The operator also aims to expands its range of services towards the Middle East and the countries of the former CIS. Europe Intermodal is committed to assuring the quality of the transport services offered and to ensuring that customers can also make an active contribution to environmental protection through CO2-cutting rail transport.
